Aloha folks-
Sad, sad news. Every time I step off into the waoakua I remember something I learned form Lorin. I still remember his lessons on crossing a fast moving stream with the aide of a pole and marveling at his native bird calling skills. Numerous were his teachings and so very deep was his knowledge.
And of course his legacy lives on in High School Hikers and the Hawaii Service Trip Program. Two programs which were a direct result of his passion and foresight.
